Our processing plants are in various areas in South Africa together with satellite operations on the Mines.
Gauteng Refinery’s roots are from the acquisition of,
• Goldchem from the Rand Refinery, at that time the biggest single site gold refinery in the World
• a Platinum Group Metals Refinery from Harmony Gold, one of the biggest gold mining houses in the World
Through our group company African Argentum Resources, we manufacture a wide range of value added silver products including silver nitrate, silver sulphate, silver coat anodes and more.
In addition various platinum, palladium, rhodium, ruthenium, iridium and osmium salts and value added products are produced for clients.
African Arum Resources (Pty) Ltd, a sister group company provides services relating to refineries construction and management in many African countries including the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Guinea, Kenya, Mali, Sudan and Zambia. The organisation has a footprint in 14 African countries with gold metallurgical residues and gold bearing resources including tailings dumps, alluvial and other free arisings, underground resources as well as small scale and Artisanal Miners.
In addition the organisation has a metals trading company registered in the United Kingdom, together with sustainability companies in recycling, water and energy.
