Rob Heather - Managing Director and Founder.
Rob has a B.Sc. Chemical Engineering and Master of Business Administration from the University of Cape Town.
His group of companies has been active since 1985.
Rob started his career as a plant metallurgist at Anglo American Corporation and throughout his career has gained extensive knowledge and experience in metallurgy and precious metals beneficiation.
Lindani Mthwa is the Co-Founder and Executive Chairperson of Siyanda Resources, a resources investment company.
The Public Investment Corporation, a registered financial services provider, is wholly owned by the South African Government and owns a 30% share in Siyanda Resources.
Siyanda Resources operating as Siyanda Refining Services (Pty) Ltd became an equity partner of Gauteng Refinery in 2015 and has a 20% ownership in the business.
Piers du Plessis - Director.
Piers spent over 20 years at Anglo Platinum in metallurgical operations and process design, is a member of the South African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (SAIMM) and a member of the Mine Metallurgical Managers’ Association of South Africa (MMMA).
Refilwe Monageng is an Executive Director of White Rivers Exploration (WRE), which has a joint venture company with Harmony Gold. He has served on the Minerals and Petroleum Board of South Africa since February 2015. He is also the founding member of Refilwe Monageng Trading Enterprises, a global industrial company that is a strategic partner to the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council.
Refilwe recently participated in the 2017 Commonwealth Study Conference (CSC) of which HRH The Princess Royal, Princess Anne is President and Patron. Peter Moravec - Financial Manager.
Peter joined the Group in 2014. He previously held similar financial positions mainly in the mining sector.
Peter has a B.Compt and completed his Articles at the beginning of his career.
He has also taken on the responsibility of Contracts Manager with the mines.
Geoff Skelton – Technical.
Geoff is a Chemical Engineer with 30 years’ experience in senior management and process design in the platinum refining industry. Geoff has a B.Sc (Hons) in Chemical Engineering from Exeter University and is a leading authority on Platinum Group Metals Extractive Metallurgy.
Geoff provides input on all technical aspects of refining processes for PGMs, gold and silver. He has a wide knowledge of processing practices for many other metallic elements including rare earths, uranium, selenium, tellurium amongst others.
Chris Horsley – Sourcing Manager.
Chris is an extractive metallurgist by profession and spent the first 15 years of his career working for Anglo American running metallurgical facilities.
In 1996 Chris transferred to Rand Refinery where he held various senior management positions in operations, marketing and sourcing and was part of the Executive Team for a number of years.
Chris was also part of the responsible gold team at the World Gold Council who compiled the Conflict Free Gold Standard.
Carl Homveld – Business Unit Manager/ Sales and Marketing Manager.
During his first year of employment at Armscor he received a bursary to study chemistry which soon became his passion.
During this time he held various executive management positions including Managing Director at a German multinational where he worked for 21 years.
